Carl Blyth

I am a applied linguist who studies social interaction in computer-mediated environments, primarily for language learning purposes. I am an Associate Professor at UT-Austin (Dept of French and Italian). I am also the director of the Center of Open Educational Resources for Language Learning (COERLL), a Title VI center (US Dept of Education). I am passionate about teaching others about the power of Open Education. To me, education is best understood as people sharing their knowledge with each other. And the Open Education Movement seeks to create an infrastructure for sharing.
